Road Trip with a 3 yr old

Well this is going to be an exciting trip! I am very excited to beable to see a few of my friends from my time in the Marine Corps over my holiday break from school. I will be visiting North Carolina, Virginia, and then making a stop by DC on my return! I have never been to DC, but have always wanted to go. I plan to visit 2-3 places as I will not have time to see it all on the one day I have alotted to visit it. I will see the mall area and look at the monuments, I will definitiely be checking out the National Museum of the Marine Corps with a few of my fellow Marines, and if there is time we will see the National Zoo! I know Ashlyn will enjoy all of it, but I really hope we have time to see the animals. She is truely an animal lover like my whole side of the family.

You can expect alot of interesting pictures of our road trip, and experience. You can expect some amazing and interesting shots, because I tend to photograph anything and everything that catches my eye. It could be an interesting fabric, a trash can, a sign, a cool piece of nature, animals are a given, people, monuments, and scenes. Maybe even a few self portraits! I can guarantee that I will not only show you the beauty of NC, VA, and DC, but I will do it with some interesting angles, views, and concepts. After all life is beautiful, its details are all important, and I am determined to prove it!

Expect updates of the trip all next week, but they will only be teasers. My grand finale will be once I return to Boston! Have a great holiday season no matter your holiday of choice!

Photo Compliments of my friend Nic Cantrell.

Chirstmas Lights

I have been slowly awaiting everyone's Christmas lights, and holiday decor to be out. I am used to literally the day after Thanksgiving people having their lights out, but New England has been doing a nice slow transition. It is beautiful to see the different colored lights at night. It helps so much with the calm nature that the holidays are supposed to bring! I am anxious to get working on my Christmas light series! Here is a sneak peek at some fun I have been having with it.

A.Rae of Sunshine

These are moments of me out with my daughter, Ashlyn Rae, since she finally joined me here in Boston. She loves it here just as much as I do. We have had a lot of fun at the ponds, seeing the wildlife, walking through the streets, and exploring Boston. We have many more adventures ahead of us though! Enjoy!

Pier Time

I took these at the pier in Oceanside, California in early August. I recently moved from Southern California to attend school here, and like to look back at these photographs. They are what I always think of when I think of my old pier. The sea air, Charlie the pelican, the fishing, surfers nearly year round, just a quick glimpse of some of these and I can swear I am back there. Hope you enjoy them!
